Purpose and boundary
Calmraine publishes educational material to help adults understand common migraine and headache terms, recognize when a question belongs with a healthcare professional, and keep a clearer personal record. Content does not diagnose a reader, recommend an individual treatment, or replace medical care.
Source hierarchy
Medical claims should be supported by current primary or authoritative sources appropriate to the claim. We prioritize clinical guidelines, government and major public-health bodies, professional medical organizations, systematic reviews, and peer-reviewed research. Sources appear near important claims and in a source list with access dates.
Claim discipline
Writers distinguish association from causation, describe uncertainty, avoid absolute language, and separate general education from individual clinical decisions. Terms that are informal, outdated, or ambiguous are labeled as such. Urgent safety information is placed before product promotion.
Review labels
- Informational article means the Calmraine editorial team researched and checked the page without claiming clinical review.
- Editorially reviewed may be used when a named editor has completed and can stand behind a documented final review.
- Medically reviewed appears only if a real qualified professional reviews the final material and agrees to accurate public attribution.
We do not invent reviewers, credentials, or review dates. The absence of a medical-review label is stated plainly rather than hidden behind “review pending.”
AI-assisted work
AI tools may support research organization, drafting, editing, link checking, or structured-data preparation. An editor remains responsible for checking claims against the cited sources, removing unsupported statements, improving usefulness and readability, and maintaining the boundary between general information and individual medical care.
Updates and corrections
Dates describe real work: publication date is the first public release; updated date records a meaningful content change; fact-check date records an actual claim/source review. We do not change dates merely to appear fresh. To report a possible error, email support@calmraine.com with the page URL and the passage in question.
Product and editorial separation
App marketing claims are audited against the current implementation. Educational pages answer the reader’s question before presenting a restrained app link. We do not use fear, urgent symptoms, or uncertain medical claims to pressure a download.
